Rose Hand Cream

This is a time of the year where we spend quite a bit of time  in the garden. Digging, cleaning and working with soil, dirt, and organic materials.  While nurturing for the soul, gardening can be hard on the hands. An afternoon gardening can leave you hands itchy, dry and at times with fine little cuts from moving around various debris or scratches from leaves and small rocks.

This natural hand cream recipe combine the nurturing nutrients from Honey with the soothing properties of Rose and Almond oil.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Honey - 8 tsp Almond Oil - 8tsp Rosewater

Healing Benefits

Honey is a natural ointment and antiseptic. The skin will regain softness and retain water better.

Rosewater relieve itchiness is a cleanser and has  astringent properties

Almond Oilis easily absorbed by the skin, a great emollient and a natural moisturizer. The high concentration in essential fatty acids will help if your hands are sore.

How to Create Your Rose  Hand Cream

Put the honey and almond oil in a bowl on a bain-marie at medium temperature. It is important to keep the temperature low so the natural properties of the ingredients are not being affected by high temperatures. Stir well until honey and almond blend well together.

Pour the rosewater slowly and stir vigorously. Remove from the burner and keep stiring gently until the mixture has cool down. Pour in a glass jar or appropriate container.
